Station History


Your local station typically plays the same 300-500 songs and this can be very repetitive. Hot Hitz 80s has over 1500 tracks in it's rotation and we are always adding more songs. Our station features those authentic fully produced singing jingles that Hot Hits radio stations used back in the 80s. Our jingle package was in the thousands of dollars but we felt it was the only way to get the authentic Hot Hits sound. We hope you agree. Fast forward to 2025 and our little Hot Hitz 80s station isn't so little anymore. We broadcast our station on all the major apps including Roku, FireTV, Samsung Smart TV, Vidaa, Apple TV, Android TV, iPhone, Android, Amazon Alexa, Amazon Mobile, and others. We are also on many of the radio listing sites incliding TuneIN. Over 3 million combined app downloads!! Not so little anymore :-)

The DJ Behind All This


Rockin Rob lived in Baltimore, Maryland and worked as an FM radio dj in the late 80s to early 90s. Rob enjoyed various radio stations in Baltimore but his favorite was Hot Hits K106. The Hot Hits format was new, exciting, and powerful! He wanted to build an 80s radio station based off the old Hot Hits radio format. This format was huge back in the 80s. Then he wanted to tweak it by adding songs you may not have heard from those same well known 80s bands. Rob also added club mixes, freestyle, and other rare tracks you only get on Hot Hitz 80s. Some of these tracks had to be pulled from records so you may hear some of those awesome clicks and pops from these records. Rob also added some tracks from the very late 70s and very early 90s. Can you pick them out? If you are good you will hear them. Rob spent months working on this custom rotation and it has not changed much over the years.

We are always trying to perfect Hot Hitz Radio & Hot Hitz 80s. It's never ending but if you love what you do it's not work! When you sit back and think about everything that has been accomplished over the years it's really amazing. Hopefully you feel the same way we do when listening to Hot Hitz 80s. This station has the ability to take you back to a moment, an event, a concert, a place, or time when hearing certain songs. That is exactly what we wanted to do for our listeners.
